Description Locus 3 is a 1 x 3 meter extension off of the main trench located directly east and fills in the space between T-60 and T-65. The purpose of the expansion was to determine whether the rocks in T-60 and T-65 connect to form a linear feature. Locus 3 consists of the same root and organic filled topsoil as locus 1 and is dark brown in color. Soil contained very little material and the materials that were recovered from this locus were mostly abraded, indicating that materials may have eroded into this stratum and yielded a very small amount of terracotta, and 8 pieces of pottery. In addition, there was approximately 1 bone fragment recovered, which was not diagnostic. There are no notable architectural or geological features associated with the locus. Locus 3 is equivalent to locus 1 in the original portion of the trench, since both are topsoil.
