AM

Work began by defining and removing the remaining loose rocks in a 1x1 meter area in the middle of locus 4 as well as cleaning the curved line of rocks in the northeastern 1x1 meter corner of locus 4 for photographs and drawings. The curved line of rocks extending underneath T 59 is roughly 1.5 m in diameter and about \xbd of the line is exposed, consisting of rocks between 6 and 18 cm in size.

Locus 4 Rock Formation:

Since It appears that the curving linear rocks may continue under T 59 , T 59 will begin a sounding approximately 1x3 meters along T 60's northern trench wall and T 59's southern trench wall to determine if the rocks continue. In the meantime after the curved rock formation is drawn on millimeter paper, work will be halted in that area of T 60 for the time being until T 59's sounding is level with the elevation of T 60. On top of the small dense curviture of rocks are a few medium to large rocks of which a couple if floating will be removed.

PM

Work continued drawing all of the rocks in the curving rock formation in locus 4 on millimeter paper as well as scraping down the trench in the northwestern

corner of locus 4 . In addition, the soil in the western 2x2 area of the trench is appearing consistently yellow and intermittently dense clay and flaky in texture. Once the sounding in T 59 was taken down to the level of T 60, it was apparent that the rocks in the curving line does not continue and form a shape. Once all the rocks bordering T 59 and T 60 were removed and the soil in between was scraped down, end of day elevations were taken and the trench was tarped.

End of Day Elevations:

1. 93 cm BD / 28.35 m AE

2. 97 cm BD / 28.31 m AE

3. 100 cm BD / 28.28 m AE

4. 100 cm BD / 28.28 m AE

5. 104 cm BD / 28.24 m AE

6. 97 cm BD / 28.31 m AE
