The new extension was strung off and the roots and leaves raked up. The extension will be approximately 1 meter to the east, connecting the space between T-60 and T-65 . The extension will be declared locus 3 and is the same root and organic filled topsoil as locus 1 . This extension is to determine whether the rocks in T-65 and T-60 meet and form a linear orientation. Opening photos and elevations were taken.

Locus 3 Trench Layout:

Work began in locus 3 by picking with a large pick from the north to the south, in \xbd meter squares. The new locus 3 continues to yield little to no rocks and very little material.

Work continued picking with the large pick. The soil is starting to turn into the yellowish clay like material. Now that the trench is even in locus 3 with locus 2 , work was spent baulk walling for the rest of the afternoon.

In addition, the soil is starting to appear similar to that in locus 2 , a yellowish clay like soil. Roots were clipped and loose dirt was picked up. End of day elevations were taken just in the area we excavated, locus 3 .
