Description | Locus 12 is composed of three fragmentary pan tiles resting on the plaster floor surface of Locus 9 and the sloping dark brown soil of Locus 10. The pan tile fragments are located ca. 0.34 m from the northern edge of the OC2/Workshop floor surface (Locus 4). The pan tile fragments most likely represent the roof collapse of the OC2/Workshop structure and are a part of the same tile fall excavated in Loci 8 and 14. The pan tiles within Locus 12 are located closest to the predicted ancient roof line of the OC2/Workshop structure and appear to have fallen directly from the edge into the depression excavated to the north of the building. Locus 12 was left in situ in the 2022 season. |
