The surface of Locus 12 was uneven with horizontally growing roots and marks from the tarp The layer contains building materials and pottery frequently associated with fills. The surface of the layer is at the same elevation as the plaster surface in Loci 2, 6, and 14. Locus 12 is a fill layer that extends to the north of the northern limit of OC2. The layer is equal to those which cover the depression and the sloping plaster of Locus 11, therefore postdating the construction of the floor surface.
