Description Locus 10 represents the entire trench apart from the northwestern corner which is Locus 7. This locus is characterized by the prevalence of stones and large fragments of terra cotta, which are often closely associated. The stones are primarily concentrated in the southwestern quadrant and the southern baulk wall, although some stones do appear on the western baulk wall and the northeastern corner. The soil is a mottled dark brown with grayish blue, white, yellowish gray, and black inclusions. Locus 10 is further notable for having diminishing numbers of material finds overall, although many fragments of large terra cotta have been recovered. Locus 10 underlays Locus 9 above it.
