We are continuing to level the Northern half of the trench to the same level of the Southern half.  To the right of the stump (east side) is the rock patch (see page 73) and so that part cannot be levelled.  One bone was found close to the center stump on the west side.

So far no finds, pottery, terracotta have been found in the Northern half.

Pottery was found in Locus 2 in rock patch (right of stump -east side).

We are continuing to level the Northern half.

We worked on baulk walls.

We cleaned up the trench - swept rocks and clipped roots in prepation for the picture of the rock feature.

The trench will be extended to the actual baseline (147-153 E) and then 1 meter beyond the baseline.  This is being done

to investigate whether the rock feature continues, what it is, and if there are any postholes.
