The surface of Locus continued to be lowered using hand picks. Initially, the soil continued to be extremely loose and soft sol which is a slightly light brown in colour. However in the middle section of the locus, just underneath tand south of the large root which extends across the length of the locus' northern border. Thus, it was decided to use trowels to scrape down the surface in order to better find and preserve any compacted soil surface.

Due to the appearance of this compacted, light brown, claylike soil it was decided to declare a new locus and photos were taken.

Work continued in Locus 6 using hand picks and trowels to lower the surface of the T-70 extension. The soil is still light brown in colour and claylike in texture, though it does not seem as compacted as this morning.

Two medium-sized rocks are visible in the northwestern portion of the trench. These run in line with the linear rock formation in T-70.

Additionally, two pieces of pottery can be seen lying horizontally in the soil. Immediately underneath the large root in the north. There is no evidence of compacted soil around them though.

More roots stemming from the tree in the northeastern corner can be seen stretching

Across the surface of Locus 6 . These range from small to large and thick. A small stump coming off the base of the tree was axed and removed.
