Description | The Central Scalarion providing access from the walkway of the bottom tier to seating in higher tiers along the central axis of the Cavea. The Scalarion is constructed of sandstone blocks approximately 0.70 m wide and ranging from 0.16 m to 0.20 m in height. The elevations for the Scalarion, including the walkway of the lowest tier and the six exposed steps (a-f), from bottom to top are: Walkway 907.126 m, Step a 907.326 m, Step b 907.516 m, Step c 907.716 m, Step d 907.916 m, Step e 908.096 m, Step f 908.256 m. The step treads measure between 0.25 m and 0.30 m in depth. (Seq. 49197). |
