Description The apsidal Orchestra Wall for the Cavea which acts as a retaining wall for the Cavea construction. This wall is constructed of carefully hewn shallow ashlar blocks with curved faces. They are laid out in five courses ranging between 0.20 and 0.35 m in height. In the second course from the bottom, a small square stone marks the central point of the wall which is on the central axis of the Temple. It is likely that this stone was the center plumb stone for the masons constructing the wall and the entire Cavea. (Seq. 47217).
