Description Locus 8 is a dense, clay-like brown-yellowish soil. One large root is present in the northeastern sector and several small stones 5-15 centimeters in length are present in the eastern meter, but especially in the southern meter. Terra cotta, pottery, and bone found. Special finds include bronze, slag, vitrified terra cotta, Medieval tile, glazed Medieval pottery, incised pottery, ridged pottery, slipped pottery, worked chert, non-local stone, and burnt bone. The soil was between six and nineteen centimeters deep. Locus 8 is equivalent to Locus 3, Locus 5, Locus 11, and Locus 12.
