Description Locus 1 was an old dirt dump that covered two-thirds of the trench, sloping from north to south. The soil was very loose and well-mixed due to the fact that it was a 2012/2013 dirt dump (see ARR IV intro). Locus 1 covered the northwestern two-thirds of Locus 2. Small amounts of tile, pottery, vitrified terracotta, and very little bone were recovered. There was one catalogued find from Locus 1: a bronze decorated pin fragment (20160004). The locus is an unsecured context.
