The corners of the trench were laid out using the baseline shot yesterday. A tape was pulled between 74E, 37S & 74E, 44S and 74E, 38S & 74E, 42S were placed. Then using these two points the eastern baulk was placed. The surface of the trench was swept of leaves and all vegetation was clipped. Locus 1 will be declared over the old dirt dump that covers 2/3rds of the trench. Opening elevations, coordinates were taken. Opening photos were taken.

Excavations have commenced in T-82. A pick pass was done in the northern meter of Locus 1 . Soil was sorted by hand into buckets and dumped. Soil is very loose and well mixed due to the fact that it is 2012/2013 dirt dump (see ARR IV intro). No artifacts were found in this pass. Two more light pick passes were done, nothing found.
