Elevations A.D. - Locus 7

Declared a new locus. Locus 7 is the tile spread and a brownish colored soil around it.  The locus is characterized by large chunks of terracotta and pottery.  This area is distinct from the west of the trench because of the material contain within it.  The locus extends from the east baulk wall 1 meter west.  The munsell designation of the soil is 5Y 5/4 olive.

While troweling in Locus 7 a marked covertile was unearthed (find #1). Additionally an unusual piece of terracotta was recovered (Find #2).  We are continuing to trowel down into LOcus 7 and are still uncovering chunks  of terracotta and pottery.
