Began a pick pass across the section of Locus 22 west of the rocks we found in the locus. While sorting we uncovered a creamware handle (Find #1). We are finding little other material in the soil. We now seem to be coming across a sandier soil which resembles disintegrating rock. It seems that we now have two different loci appearing over the area of Locus 22 . On the western side of what appears to be bedrock we have a yellowish sandy soil, while on the east the is a soil which is very hard packed with small rocks. We are now defining the bedrock and cleaning up the last of the Locus 22 soil.
PM
We are continuing to define the bedrock and remove the locus 22 soil. It appears that the south west corner of locus 22 this soil extends further down than in any other part of the trench. We are also working on the baulk walls.
