Began with a pick axe breaking up soil along the eastern baulk wall and moving westward in one meter strips. Soil hand sorted into buckets, remains consistent with Locus 3 . As the pick pass progresses, attention also paid to removing soil from around stumps and their root systems. Soil pack remains included with stones of small length (2-7cm). Few artifacts recovered, including terra cotta fragments, a few pieces of pottery, and one fragment of bone. While cleaning in the central portion of the trench, a bronze fragment found.
