Yesterday is was decided that CA-81 will be extending 2 meters to the east to fill in the space between CA-81 and Locus 3 was declared and it will consist of the entire 2 x 2 meter extension directly east of the trench. The soil is the same dark brown topsoil as locus 1 with a large amount of humus. Opening photographs were taken.
. This extension will help us get a better understanding of the rock feature throughout the CA area. Aerial photographs were taken and the area was cleared of all roots, leaves and other debris.Opening elevations were taken for Locus 3 .

Slag will now be considered bulk finds after finding 5 pieces of bronze in this locus. Locus 2 in the original CA-81 trench was closed and work started using a big pick in the new CA-81 extension.
