Description Locus 3 is the entire first extension of CA-81, directly 2 meters to the east of the original trench. The soil is the same dark brown topsoil as locus 1, containing a large amount of humus and rocks. This locus also contained a baulk area around a tree that was approximately 60 x 80 cm in diameter in the northwest corner of the extension. Locus 3 recovered a little terracotta, pottery, and some slag.
