Description Locus 2 is a denser, darker yellowish-brown clay-like soil filled with small rocks. There was still a 60 x 60 meter baulk area in the southwest corner around the tree that was not removed in this locus. The locus also contained a decent amount of terracotta and pottery, as well as bulk bronze, slag, and a fair amount of bone. There is a line of rocks extending along the southern edge of the trench that connects to those in CA-83, through the second extension of CA-81 and through CA-79 and CA-77. An iron ball (20130064) and a slag fragment with adhered terracotta (20130207) were recovered within this locus as well.
