Commenced a pick pass across the entire area of Locus 22 . We seem to be encountering a large amount of stones in the northeastern area of Locus 22 which may extend south.
We are now attempting to define the rocks and their extent. To the east of these rocks it appears that there are many small rocks packed together into a very hard soil. This however does not extend to the western edge of Locus 22 . We will now continue to work in the Locus 22 soil to see if the hard packed rocks continue underneath.

Began to clean up the baulks in order to get a better understanding of the extent of the darker locus 22 soil. There is still a large amount of carbon in the soil and there is slightly more material appearing near the west baulk wall but still not much. The thought is that this could be a redeposited soil in a man made ditch of some sort. We are continuing to clean up the area to see the extent of the soil.
