Pick pass done in the second meter by three meter section from the east. Immediately, pieces of terra cotta and pottery became visible in the turned soil. The soil retained the medium-brown with yellowish hue consistent with Locus 2 . The soil also contained rocks, most of which were small (3-5cm), though some larger rocks (15cm and above) were uncovered as well. The soil was sorted and cleared. Material (pottery, terra cotta, and bone) continued to be uncovered, although there was a greater frequency of material uncovered in the northern portion of the cleared section. Also, a piece of vitrified plaster was uncovered.

Locus 2
Work continued in the westernmost meter by three meter section. After a pick pass, soil which remained consistent with Locus 2 was sorted and cleared. Terra cotta and pottery was uncovered
in this section as well, although there is less material in this section than in the western sections. A few pieces of bone and slag were uncovered as well. After this soil was cleared, a pick pass was done in the eastern most meter by three meter section of the trench. Simultaneously, hand picks were used to drop the elevation in the northwestern corner of the trench. The intent was to drop the elevation in this section enough to expose a possible rock feature that may be continuous with CA 70. In the eastern meter, terra cotta, pottery, bone, and slag were uncovered. In the northwestern section, pottery and bone were found as well. After the dirt was sorted and cleared in the eastern meter, a pick pass was done in the second meter by three meter section from the eastern baulk wall. As the dirt was exposed, a handle fragment was uncovered.

Locus 2
In addition to these aforementioned finds, terra cotta, bone, and pottery were uncovered in the second meter by three meter section from the eastern baulk wall. Meanwhile, hand pick and hand clearing continued in the northwestern
section. Terra cotta and pottery were found in this section as well, although less frequently than in the eastern sections. After the soil was cleared, a pick pass was done in the meter by three meter section along the western baulk wall. Around this time, two sumps were removed, one in the eastern most meter and one in the western meter, respectively. In terms of material, the meter along the western baulk wall contained very small quantities of terra cotta and pottery, although none appeared in the southern most portion of the trench. Another pick pass was done in the westernmost meter by three meter section of CA 72. The intent was to bring this section down to an elevation that was more even with the two eastern sections. Immediately pieces of terra cotta became visible in the turned soil. Also found in this section was a small piece of bronze.

Locus 2
As the soil was sorted and cleared, terra cotta, pottery, and bone were found. Once again, material was found in a smaller frequency than in the western sections. Also, material in this section was found in greater portions in the north than in the south. After the soil was completely cleared, a pick pass was done in the second meter by three meter section from the eastern baulk wall. Simultaneously, the northwestern corner of the trench was defined using hand picks. In terms of material, the meter along the eastern baulk wall produced fragments of terra cotta, pottery, bone, and carbon. In the northwestern corner, pieces of pottery were uncovered in limited quantities. Material was again found in greater frequency in the eastern half of the trench, and in particular, the northern portion. Also found in the second meter by three meter section from the east was a large piece of slag.

Locus 2
Excavations continued in the northwestern corner, where hand picks continued to be used to gently drop elevation and define rocks as found. Meanwhile, in the eastern half of the trench, a pick pass was done in the meter by three meter section along the eastern baulk wall. As the soil was cleared, a bellows fragment was uncovered.

Locus 2
In addition to the aforementioned finds, several pieces of terra cotta and pottery were found. In addition a few pieces of bone were found as well. Also a bit of carbon was found throughout the picked section.
As work progressed toward the southern baulk wall, a small piece of iron was uncovered as well.

PM
Work in the afternoon continued in the eastern meter by three meter section along the baulk wall. Soil was sorted and cleared and terra cotta, pottery, and bone was uncovered. The soil remained the medium brown consistent with Locus 2 soil. Some small rocks (1-3cm) were uncovered, though in smaller frequency than they have been in previous pick passes. After the soil was sorted and cleared, a pick pass was done in the meter by three meter section along the western baulk wall. As the dirt was sorted and cleared, pieces of pottery were uncovered along with relatively smaller frequencies of terra cotta and bone. In addition, a small bronze fragment was found toward the southern portion of the trench.

Locus 2
After the soil was cleared along the western baulk wall, a pick pass was done along the eastern baulk wall in a one by three meter section. Immediately, terra cotta fragments and pottery fragments became visible. As soil continued to be sorted and cleared, terra cotta and tile fragments were uncovered throughout the trench. Bone was also uncovered. As work progressed southward, a piece of iron was uncovered as well.

Locus 2
While work was being done in the easternmost meter of the trench, defining work continued simultaneously in the northwestern corner of the trench. In the northwest, very small flecks of bronze were found, although they were too small to collect. In terms of soil consistency, the soil along the eastern baulk wall remains the medium brown color consistent with Locus 2 , and it retains the yellowish hue. The soil, however, seems much more loosely packed. In the northwest corner, however, the soil remains consistent with early pick passes. After the soil was sorted and cleared, a pick pass was done in the second meter by three meter section from the eastern baulk wall. As the soil was sorted, terra cotta and pottery fragments were found. Additionally, pieces of carbon were found in the soil. As work progressed toward the southern baulk wall, pieces of bone were uncovered as well.
Closer to the southern baulk wall, a fragment of burned bone was uncovered.
