1.   Initiated 5 cm cut across meters M-O/72-69.  Soil is impossibly hard from drying in the sun.  Using large picks and trowels.  Soil is dark brown w/ large amounts of small flecks of plaster and some charcoal mixed in.  Tile and pottery coming out are still mixed and not contextually related.  Some pottery is orange ware.  M/69 preserves a darker, less mottle soil.  N-O/69 has a red cast.  Pottery and tile concentrations are markedly increased.  Bone is fragment c 12

2.  Initiated 10 cm cut over meters M-O/68-66.  Soil over M-O/68 is uniform light-medium brown w/ olive cast.  One small pocket of burnt material produced a small amount of bronze waste (?) in N/68.  As in previous cut ( NM II, pp. 81 ) the E 1/2 and W 1/2

of O/67 and O/66 has soil that is more red - not burn material but with occasional burnt pieces.  M-N/66 does have medium amounts of burn material - a darker soil with plaster flecks and charcoal.  Bronze waste was collected fr5om cut in N/68, O/66-67.

3.   Initiated 2nd 5 cm cut over meters M-O/71.  Soil is a darker brown shade thank previous cut.  It, while still having some inclusions of plaster is a more uniform soil, not as mottled.  Previous statement applies only to M/70-72.  N-O/71 is soil like that in above cut.  Finds of pottery continue to increase, particularly in regards to orange/red ware.  Concentrations of tile seems stable, as does the occurence of pithos/pithos like pottery fragments.  Cut terminates at approx 90-95 cm belown surface.
