1. Cut in M-O/69 finally taken down to level of M-0/71-71 at c. 50 cms below surface. Soil is medium/light brown ... have gone through the lens of decomposed rocks in N-O/69 for most part. Roots still very present. Pottery concentration in 45-55 cm b.s. range is as in M-O/70-71, i.e. more frequent. Mostly impasto, some bucchero and orange ware. Final cms abandoned because of wet soil.
2. Large pithos rim removed from northern baulk of M/70 c. 45 cm b.s. This is previously note on NM II, pp. 19 .

3. 5 cm cut initiated in M-O/71. Soil is medium/light brown. In O/71 there is a medium brown soil with grey east that is mottled black to light orange from inclusions of charcoal and either terracotta in very poor state of preservation or else plaster. Appearance of soil is very jumbled. This soil extends in places to M-N/71 as well. The soil can be found in conglomerated chunks which include
charcoal, small mica, plaster, pottery fragments all in a medium brown soil with grey tones. I would say it is darkened by burn and ash. Tile in this cut is as usual, but pottery recovery has increased with more bucchero appearing (although some of this may be secondary burn).
