Stratigraphy remarks | Levels indicate may have been used with Pit 11 & locus Walls 12 & 4B; relation to Walls 6 & 7 remains unclear; equals L 13, although 10 lies above 13, from which it was arbitrarily separated in the NW quadrant and in the area N of Wall 12 |
Reason | Earth confined within area bordered by Wall 11 |
End date | 1984-07-26 |
Supervisor | J. Fisher |
Function | Uneven layer with some protruding rocks, not consistently of same hardness and not clearly traceable to Wall 6 in the W balk |

Earth Remarks | Shallower depth in NE quadrant which was divided into L 13 after L 10 was excavated to a depth of about .50 m; very firm within area defined by stones of Pit 11 & above & immediately S of Wall 12; after discovery of Wall 12, L 10 was divided into 4 quadrants to provide sub balks to tie together 4 walls which boxed in digging area and blocked access to balks; Iron 2 lamp and 2-3 mendable vessels found in SE quadrant (lower portion adjacent to & at level of similar finds in L 13) cooking pot found in SW quadrant (T=912.26 B=912.00); other mendable frags in NW quadrant |
