Description Locus 8 was comprised of a sandy brown soil with some carbon inclusions and white flecks. Unlike Locus 6, which rested directly on top of Locus 8, the soil of Locus 8 is not mottled and contains noticeably less plaster than Locus 6. This soil contained significantly less material than the previous loci and may be categorized as pre-orientalizing, as it lay directly below a heavily carbonized, orientalizing stratum which is likely the orientalizing burn layer. However, no evidence of iron-age occupation was recovered.
