Description Locus 5 begins approximately 1 meter from the northern baulk wall and is a soil and clay mixture with pockets of decaying green rock in its northernmost meter. This locus is heavily included with tile and pottery as well as charcoal. Because of the drastic drop off from locus 4 it appears that the bedrock may have been removed from the area of locus 5 which abuts the linear rock feature found in VT7. Locus 5 included many finds that were later catalogued including two pieces of possibly Greek pottery with black gloss (20155044 and 20155047), two pieces of incised black gloss pottery (20155048 and 20155074), and several diagnostic pieces of bucchero (20155063, 20155066, and 20155067).
