Description Locus 2 is a medium brown-grey, claylike, densely packed soil, included with many roots and stones 5-10 centimeters in length. Three large stumps fifty to one hundred centimeters in length and two large stones thirty to forty centimeters in length are present in the surface level Terra cotta, pottery, bone, vitrified terra cotta, and slag found and collected in bulk. Special finds include slag, vitrified terra cotta, diagnostic bone fragments, medieval pottery, coil made pottery, and molded pottery. The soil pack was relatively shallow--three to seventeen centimeters deep. Locus 2 is equivalent to Locus 7 and Locus 10.
