Pottery and terra cotta recovered in small concentrations. One bucket sieved, no artifacts recovered. Another shallow pick pass completed beneath the stump, soil remains consistent with Locus 2 , sorted and cleaned from the trench. Small sections of the stump removed in order to facilitate access for axing. In east, rocks continue to appear as definition is being done. The feature follows a roughly linear alignment from the southeast sloping uphill and diagonally
to the northwest. One bucket sieved, no artifacts recovered. During cleaning, a body fragment of molded pottery recovered.

During leveling in the western meter, a fragment of slag recovered, collected as a bulk find. Below the area in which the tree stump was removed in the second meter from the west there is a large fragment of rock, currently revealed to a length of 50cm, which is deteriorating and fragmentary, maybe bedrock. Baulk walling commenced in the western two meters. Terra cotta and pottery found in small concentrations, as well as one fragment of slag, collected as a bulk find. Eastern half of the trench scraped down, revealing that many of the rocks there are included within the layer which may be deteriorating bedrock.
During leveling in the western meter, a small fragment of glazed Medieval pottery recovered.
