Description Locus 1 consisted of a dark brown, organic debris rich, humus layer. Many rocks 8-9cm appeared at the surface, as well as 10 stumps of varying size scattered throughout the trench. There was little material in this layer. Terra cotta and pottery were all found in small concentrations, and what was found was fairly worn. There was no bone in Locus 1. The soil pack was loose and the locus was relatively shallow, only 13cm deep.
