Description Locus 4 was a medium brown clay like carbon rich soil. Locus 4 did not cover the entire extent of the trench, only about a 1x1.5 meter area along the eastern wall. Locus 4 was also relatively shallow and came down onto bedrock sheeting rather quickly with one small natural bedrock depression. The soil was more tightly packed with heavy carbon inclusions. Medium amounts of terra cotta, pottery, and bone were collected from Locus 4. On average this Locus was about 15cm deep.
