Description Locus 81 is the channel extending through the west wall of the small cistern (Locus 78) leading into the ceramic channel (Locus 45). The pipe is elevated just above the interior ground level of the small cistern, in the south of the wall. The diameter of the hole is 12 cm on the west face of the wall and 10 cm on the east face. There is no extant evidence of a pipe, but it probably originally would have held a small lead pipe. Locus 81 is phased with the small cistern to Stage 3.
