A pick was used in locus 2 to level out the high areas of the trench, the yellow soil surrounding the abnormal gray inclusion near the center. Clippers were then used along with hand axs in locus 4 to remove roots from the soil surface. During the third pick pass our third special find was found, a piece of bronze.

Locus 2 and locus 5 had the same soil type and lack of material. Locus 6 is a crumbly gray soil with very few inclusions It is not clay like as locus 5 is.

Found in locus 4 a cluster of impasto fragments (10 pieces) that contains both a base and a rim. It is special find #5 as it may be a full profile once it has been conserved.

After the excavation of locus 6 began it became apparent that the soil change did not extend deep into locus 5 . It is probable that the change in soil color was due to some type of bioturbation or other fill event. As such, locus 6 has been closed, and the area that it covered is not considered locus 5 . Locus 5 now spans the entire area of the original locus 2 .
