Worked in locus 4 troweling and using hand axs. This was done to lower the areas around stumps and to further define the roots in the trench. Work resumed in locus 2 using a pick ax. Locus 2 still contains a yellow soil with grey inclusions. It is very rocky and seemingly without material. Found a piece of plaster within locus 2 . A grey patch has appeared in the center of locus 2 that is approximately 15 cm in diameter. The area of locus 2 was leveled and scraped down with trowels. Photographs were taken of locus 2 to document the unusual soil change. While leveling locus 4 a piece of decorated and stamped pottery was uncovered (special find #1). A stump in the western extent of locus 4 was removed using an ax and saw.
