The morning started by continuing the topsoil cut in locus 9, meters N11 W8-9. Bedrock in N14-15 W7 was defined. The soil of locus 9 in 2.5Y 4/2 (dark grayish brown). The current depth of locus 9 is equal to the depth of locus 7 and is approximately 80-90 cm b.d.
Material recovered from locus 9 today included 60 tile pieces, badly worn and small, 1 plaster piece, 3 coarseware, 8 impasto, and 8 redware fragments, also worn. A piece of worked chest was found as well.

North, east and south baulks were trimmed in loci 7 and 9. loci 7 and 9 designate approximately 10 cm top soil cut in meters N11-15 W8-9 and N12-15 W7 and are equivalent to each other. Since the current level of loci 7 and 9 is at the same depth as the stone formation )locus 8), the soil is then at this depth, 80-90 cm b.b., was designated locus 10.
Approximately 10 cm cut was started in meters N15 W8-9, N13-14 W8, around the stone formation. material retrieved from this excavated part of locus 10 was less worn than in the previous cut and fairly abundant. A large fragment of pan tile flange was found in N14-70-14-95, W8.1, which was better preserved than most of the rest tile fragments found. Also 2 large fragments of coarse redware vessel base were found within 50cm distance from eachother i meters N14 W8. The rest of the material included 11 bone pieces, which came mostly from N13-14 W8, 1 grayware handle, 8 coarseware, 4 bucchero, 9 redware and 34 impasto fragments. Final depth of locus 10 for today was approximately 100cm b.d.
