Continued approximately 10 cm cut designated locus 10 in N12 W8 and in meters N12-14 W9 around the stone formation.  Due to large amount of material coming out from this layer, it was decided to use trowels instead of large picks.  Stones of locus 8 were better defined.  material recovered included 80 worn tile fragments, 3 pieces of plaster, 12 coarseware, 2 bucchero (1 handle), 2 creamware, 11 redware, 1 grayware, and 77 immpasto fragments (including 2 handles and several rims and bases), 90 bone fragments(some very small, probably bird, others probably of goat or sheep, and many teeth).  Finds included an impasto base(coilmade), rocchetto fragment, piece of bronze, part of impasto vessel and a piece of glazed pottery which although found during sorting, might indicate disturbed stratum.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
