STRATEGY: 1. Complete excavation of 1514. 2. Complete excavation of 1515. Make area to the east of 1515, which is made up of packed stone and pot, a new lot (1517). 3. Begin excavation of 1516 with big pick across the entire trench bar 1517.

SUMMARY: 1. 1514: completed excavation. Contained larger patches of calcite. Sites on 1516. Finds include pot, bone and flint. 2. 1515: completed excavation. Contains green decayed stone and large calcite patches. Sits of 1516. Contains bone, pot and flint. 3. Took levels and excavated 1517 (stone and pot packing). Loose, calcite soil on to of coloured/red archaeological soil. (can be seen in Se corner). Finds included pot, bone, flint and stone bowl fragment. Stones revealed, particularly in the NE corner, where they seem to be linear and this is perhaps a wall: to be cleaned in 1518 (see sketch).
