A 5 cm cut was taken in meters U/53-55. The level is now at 75 cm from the fixed point. This small cut was taken with consideration for the area of tile and plaster in V/53. The soil in these meters changes considerably from a dark, moist terracotta red soil in U/53 to a lighter, dry grey soil with pockets of golden orange in U/55 near the tree stump. Finds included a piece of a bronze bar and a slingstone in V/54 and V/53 respectively.

N.B. A fixed elevation was established by the architect yesterday. The point is S/53 and measures 27.89 M with respect to the Southeast Building.
