Work continued in locus 4. Meters N 2-5, W 2-4 were troweled down to the level of CA 36, 1991, in eastern part of N 2-5, W2 in order to uncover the rest of the stone formation designated as locus 1 (see plan on p. 40). 21 impasto fragments and 1 coarseware piece were found in N 3-4, W 2, in the immediate vicinity o fthe stone formation. Eight impasto rim fragments were recovered from N 5, W 2, near the tree stump, 35 cm b.d. Also 22 tile fragments (1-5 cm), all showing signs of wear and abrasion, and 8 bone fragments including

1 vertabra were found in locus 4.
The stone formation is a packing of rocks 3-15 cm in size. The dimensions of the formation are approximately 50 x 80 cm, its long side running south-north. Its size is slightly smaller and its relative depth is similar to that of the stone formation in CA 36, 1991 excavation. (see JB IV, p 167-229)
