Topsoil was removed from the northern half of the trench.  Tiles were abundant throughout but the central two meters produced an extremely heavy concentration of pottery, much of it thin.  Pieces were well-preserved and in many cases large.

Total volume for the day was about four boxes, one and a half of thin pottery, with depth taken down 25 to 30 cm.  At 20 cm down and 2 m north, a piece of frieze was found similar to the scene on 19660069
