The work day commenced in Locus 2 using hand picks and trowels to lower the level of the trench floor north of the rock feature to the level of the trench floor on the interior of the rock feature. The soil is a light-brown, clay-like layer that is somewhat friable and hard packed. However, the hard pack is most likely due to no work taking place in this area for a couple weeks, which allowed the soil to get baked out. The soil was hand sorted into buckets. Small concentrations of pottery have been recovered thus far. During clearing a rochetto fragment was recovered.

Small concentrations of terracotta and pottery continue to be found in the locus. The soil in the northwest area is becoming slightly more compact, so excavators will continue to expose it in order to discern whether or not it is significant. The remainder of the loose soil was cleared and roots were clipped until lunch.

The afternoon focused on finishing the leveling of the trench floor north of the linear rock feature. Once the last few mounds were removed from the floor of the trench, roots were clipped and the closing elevations of the northwest and northeast corners.
