Completed cut in meters T-U/54-55, bringing the area level with U-V/53-55 at 65-70 cm. About a half dozen pieces of tile were found, but only 1/4 box pottery. The soil has a distinct olive green cast from the pockets of gray/green schist. As we moved west toward meter 56, the soil became more yellow. A piece of frieze plaque was found in T/54 at 25 cm below ground level.

Work continued clearing around and under the stump, which basically comprises V/55. The stump will remain until the tree in V/56 is cut down.
