Work continued in trench 2E. Also excavated earth from refilled trench (TG Civitate A2: see plan, p.33) was removed. In the bottom of this section, pieces of pottery were found
In trench 2E a terracotta head was found at a depth of 0.65m, 1.15m from the west wall, and 1.95m from the south (Find # 4 - now joins no. 18, on p. 147)

In trench 2A, two fragments of terracotta, perhaps sculptural, were found: one at a depth of 1.70m, 5.30m from the south side of 2B, and 3.0m from the east side of 2D; the other at a depth of 1.65m, 4.46m from the south side of 2B, and 2.50m from the east side of 2D. (No find numbers given).
Bedrock in 2A was cleaned and swept.
