Work continued in trenches 2A and 2E. Bedrock from 2A was also followed into 2C, where more pottery was found at the bottom, and several architectural fragments in the walls above them (these walls were cut down to correspond more exactly to the stone left in trench 2C when the dyke was removed).
It is interesting to note that in the bottom level, where the pottery appears, bits of bone also appear; this is true throughout the trench.
In trench 2E a half rocchetto, with an "X" incised on the end, was found at a depth of 0.60m, 0.90m from the west side of the trench, and
1.30m from the north end (Find # 3).
In the north end of the trench at a depth of about 0.60m, many small pieces of irregularly shaped, lightweight, pinkish fired clay were found (see sherd boxes).
