Hand picks and trowels are being used to level the surface of the trench and define the western edge of the linear formation in more detail. Trowel scraping revealed one medium-sized stone possibly underneath one of the stones on the western border of the formation. However, it could also merely be located at a lower elevation. This makes the formation approximately 1.45m wide at the widest point.

The soil is still the light brown, fairly loose and crumbly soil of Locus 2 . This soil is consistent across the whole of the trench.

PM

Hand picks and trowels continued to be used to level the surface of the trench and to define any rocks present. Aside from the stones in the linear formation, there are also rocks

in the northwestern corner of the trench. These are predominantly small to medium sized rocks. Additionally, there is another small rock packing in the north, directly to the west of the linear rocks.

Locus 3 was also closed. Due to the lack of apparent finds as well as the depth excavated, it was decided that this area would no longer be excavated. Closing photos and elevations were taken.

Locus 3 closing elevations:

NE corner: 0.90m BD/ 26.67m AE

SE corner: 0.89m BD/ 26.68m AE

SW corner: 0.83m BD/ 26.74m AE
