Working at cleaning the interior part of the removed skull - pieces removed yesterday.
Had to consolidate with PVA emulsion (15% in vol.) because many of the pieces are fragile - let dry.
Left clavicle:
- Cleaned with alcohol, removing dirt as much as possible
- Feels fragile and delicate
- Note: dirt and rootlets interred
- Had to stop cleaning and consolidate with PVA emulsion (15% in vol.)
Scapula (left):
- Cleaned out dirt (using alcohol, cotton swab and pen vice) and had to stop and consolidate with PVA emulsion (15% in vol.)
- Fragmented - cracks, very fragile condition.
