Mesti work cont in the K-L-M-N/63-64. Tile frags and pithos frags become less prevalent. In NE corner of K/64 a high concentration of burned bone mixed with grey black soil was found at ca. 132 cm bd. The soil thru the rest of the area is the same as yesterday with the plaster matrix continuing, but in fewer areas. Apprx 1/3 cassette of the tile and pithos frags were lifted and 1/2 box of pottery, & one small piece of bronze. Shaving of the western baulk was commenced leaving all tile and pithos frags in place. The area is now fairly level at depth of 129 cm bd, no finds this morning.

Finished shaving the baulk in meters M-N/62 & mesties were used for the last 15 cm to the floor of the trench. The area is ready for the architect to draw a section tomorrow morning. Meter N/63 was taken down a few more cm w/ mestires to a level of 135 cm bd/ A piece of vitrified material was found here and taken to the mag, but not recorded as a find.
