We continue to clean down tile throughout the trench. Although the majority of framents are still located in the far eastern side of grids beta-zeta/22. A large fragment of ridgepole tile is found in zeta/22. No evidence of a wall in epsilon/21-22 at the current depth of 50 cm.
By day's end the trench had been uniformly cleared to a level floor immediately beneath the tile fall. This level is approx. 83 cm. Below the surface of the topsoil at the north end of the trench and 50 cm. Below the topsoil surface at the south end of the trench (grids zeta/21-22).
The tile fall has been cleaned and left in the east side of the trench in order that a section might be drawn. A large nearly complete pan tile
runs from the present floor level of grid zeta/22 in to the unexcavated southern bulk of the trench. Therefore, either the suspected south wall lies at a depth greater than the section of wall in the 1980 section of T-25, or the wall ends somewhere between the 1980 and 1981 sections of T-25.
