Leveling of soil through Locus 2 near western wall continued. Soil yellow with white inclusions and no material. Patch of Locus 2 soil near eastern wall (see drawing pg 85) troweled through to find its end. Soil sorted and cleaned. Baulk walling done, soil sorted and cleaned, material collected as Locus 2 because no baulking done through Locus 1 , humus layer. Locus 2 soil along eastern wall has some material and is heavily carbon included before bottoming out with the same yellow soil as across the rest of the trench. Trench cleaned in order to take photographs and declare Locus 3 . Elevations taken:
NW corner: 28.21m A.E.
NE corner: 28.07m A.E.
SE corner: 28.11m A.E.
SW corner : 28.25m A.E.
Center, area from cut of first Locus 2 delineation (see pg 79 illustration): 28.07m A.E.
Second Locus 2 cut from delineation on east wall (see pg 85 illustration): 27.91m A.E.
Locus 3 is a yellow soil type with white stone inclusions as well as some galestra patches associated immediately with individual deteriorating rocks. Using the pick will level trench down to the lowest level of the Locus 2 lens (approximately 27.91m A.E.).
Pick pass done in center meter strip east to west along the first Locus 2 cut. Soil sorted and cleaned, remains consistent with Locus 3 . Some material being found.
