T1 AN Trench T1 AN was cleaned. In order to define the end (turn?) of the wall, the trench was extended 1m, see plan . Two boxes of tiles were dumped. The profile at the strip left towards the south shows that the wall was surrounded by tiles and pottery in a heavy concentration. From the wall itself rises the clay wall, mentioned on p. 219. West of the wall, in the southwest corner is a layer of red (burnt) soil, ca 20cm deep. There were stones at the northern part of the eastern edge which might indicate a turn ( ). The pottery found was concentrated to the area west of the wall, mostly cups fired (?) red. One rocchetto was found, with a pattern on both ends.
