Began with a pick pass through Locus

4 . The same soil is still present. Small rocks continue to appear as well as pottery, bone, and tile. Found butchered bone (special find #1). Found also a fragment of pottery with shoulder (special find #2). We further defined the cut bone previously exposed (see AJC/ARR II pg. 27, pg. 37). It was photographed in situ before removed. The fragments of bone found today are labeled special find #3. Also found a large amount of plaster that bore impressions as well as two finished edges. It is special find # 4.

Work has continued in Locus 2 with a pick. The area of locus 2 is picked and the loose soil sorted. The first three pick

passes were focused on the eastern side on the locus, while the forth went across the entirety. During these excavations only one piece of pottery has been discovered.

A second pick pass was done across the high points of locus 4 . Pottery, bone, and terracotta are still being found. It appears that the amount of terracotta tiles is increasing. Many roots have been uncovered as well as more rocks. The roots and stump were worked upon using an ax before the third pick pass of locus 4 . Work was done around the stump and we continued to uncover Murex shell. Found near the stump on the 151 meter mark was found a full profile impasto bowl (special find #5). Also found a full profile coarseware vessel (special find #6).

A third and fourth pick pass was done across locus 4 . In the fourth pick pass we found special find #7, a large butchered bone from a large mammal, possibly a cow. Next found an impasto wing handle (special find #8), a ridge pole fragment (special find #9), and usual lug handle (special find #10). Also found bucchero wing handle base with decoration (special find #11).
